Alentejo bread, new olive oil
This very simple recipe takes us back to our childhood on those cold winter days, with the fireplace lit and the smell of bread fresh from the wood oven. Time for new oil.
INGREDIENTS
• 250 g of daily bread, preferably still warm
• Juice of 1 lemon / you can use orange
• Zest of 1/2 lemon/orange
• 3 tablespoons of olive oil Azeite Extra Virgem Lagar do Parral
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar / alternatively use honey
• Cinnamon qb
Preparation Steps
Place the bread broken into medium pieces in a bowl; if the bread is hot, break it with your hands.
Separately, prepare the remaining ingredients, which must be mixed very well.
Add the mixture to the bread bowl, mixing very well with some care.
Eat immediately.
